  The 36” campfire grill can handle 20 to 25 large T-Bone steaks.  It is our most popular version.  This grill is more for the person wanting a grill for large groups of family and friend gatherings.  This grill is diverse for grilling, campfire, and setup for tripod cooking.  There is nothing like having a great cup of cowboy coffee with a little Bailey’s after a wonderful meal that has been grilled on the best grill on the market. Swing arm included.

  “H” –Brace Assembly:
Grilling Surface and 4 “S” Hooks Included in “H” Brace Price

The “H” –Brace Assembly is manufactured from 7/8” round stock mild steel. The two vertical braces are 58” x 7/8” in length. This allows 6” to be driven into the ground. The crossbar brace is 54” x 7/8” in length and attaches to the two vertical braces with a 7/8” x 2” round stock pin into a 7/8” x 1” x 2” nipple. This assures for greater crossbar stabilization. This unit also comes with 5 “S” hooks made from 5/16” round stock. The hooks vary in length from 10, 14, 18, and 22 inches. The horizontal 7/8” cross brace is height adjustable (up and down) from the fire, held in place with two 5/8” horseshoes set screws. This allows you to be able to turn the meat on the rotisserie properly for adequate cooking. Remember that the cross brace is also height adjustable (up and down) from the fire.

Grilling Surface:
The grilling surface is framed with 3/16” x 1” flat strap with a 21” x 18” 9# ¾” flat expanded metal surface. It has a vertical height adjustment of approximately 40”. This is manual adjustment with a 5’8” set screw with horseshoe wing nut. This maybe used as a grilling surface for meats or raise it up, swing it off the fire and use it as a table.

The Fire Box:
The fire box is 3/16” thick, 12” in height 18” in width and 42” in length. It pins at all four corners for easy, quick disassembly.

The Rotisserie:
The rotisserie turns and locks into place at quarter turn intervals. The horizontal 7/8” cross brace is height adjustable (up and down) from the fire, held in place with two 5/8” horseshoe set screws.

The Cowboy Back Packer is a grill designed for those who need a grill/Dutch Oven cooking utensil.  It is made from ¾” solid steel with heavy ¾” mesh expanded metal cooking surface.  The “Back Packer” collapses into a small neat package for easy transportation.

Combo Wok or Grill

  The Combo Wok or Grill is constructed from three heavy heat tempered metal discs shaped like woks. These should literally last for a life time. It stands approximately waist high on 1 ¼” pipe stand. The complete unit easily disassembles, no tools required, into four portable pieces. The top wok is exchangeable with a good heavy made grilling surface made from 9# ¾” flat expanded metal. You may use either charcoal or wood as fuel in the middle disc and then cook in the cowboy wok or replace it with the grilling surface.

This diverse grill is great for small patios, tailgate parties, deer lease, etc. The units will vary in diameter from 18” to 22” and in weight from 35 lbs. to 50 lbs.

Cowboy Wok

  The Cowboy Wok is constructed from a heavy heat tempered metal disc approximately 18” to 22” in diameter. It has a horse shoe for one handle and a coiled wire handle on the opposite side. The Wok can be used directly in the coals or above a flame as though you were using a frying pan or a wok. With proper care these woks can literally last for a lifetime. The Cowboy Woks, like Dutch ovens, get more seasoned with use and acquires better flavor every time you cook in it.

The Cowboy Wok combined with the Dutch Oven Disc and Trivet (see below) is great for tailgate parties, camping, fishing, etc. and feeds 2 to 10 people at a time. The woks weigh approximately 20 to 25 lbs.

  The Dutch Oven Disc is approximately 14” in diameter. It is constructed from heavy heat tempered metal with two horseshoe handles and three 5/16” x 4” legs. This should last for a lifetime. The Dutch oven disc now allows you to cook on a wooden or aluminum table, now there is no bending over to tend to your Dutch ovens.

The Trivet is constructed from 5/16” rod and is approximately shaped like a 7” triangle with 2” legs. The trivet may be used to set the lid to your Dutch oven on top of it or use it on top of the Dutch oven disc to then cook with your “Cowboy Wok”, coffee pot or frying pan. The Dutch oven disc and trivet weigh from 10 to 15 lbs.

  Sue Cunningham and Jean Cates are the daughters of the late Dick and Virginia Shepard. They were born in Turkey, Texas in 1934 and 1938 respectively. In 1944 the family moved to Channing, Texas where Dick farmed and ranched. He cowboyed for different ranches and would fill in as a chuckwagon cook when the cooks got mad and quit. That is when he got interested in chuckwagon cooking. Later, he built a wagon of his own.

Some of the recipes in this cookbook have been in their family for years. They have forgotten where some came from, created some and got some from friends.
